Choose the objective first

What should change after the interaction?

“We need people to try the product.”

Start with sampling or a retail demonstration. Define the target user, handling requirements and a measurable trial action. Count meaningful demonstrations separately from products handed out.

“We need buyers to understand the offer.”

Start with a guided event experience. Make space for questions, identify who qualifies as a prospect and agree on the follow-up owner. Visitor volume is not a substitute for useful conversations.

“We need people to participate in the brand.”

Start with a brand activation or BTL mechanic. Explain the participant benefit in one sentence and test the interaction before adding more production.

“We need an offer tied to an occasion.”

Start with a seasonal promotion. Confirm eligibility, legal review, fulfillment and any partner rights before promoting the reward.

Budget without guesswork

Compare the same scope.

A quote should explain what it includes and what remains dependent on a venue, authority or partner.

Separate creative from operating costs

Ask proposals to distinguish strategy and design, fabrication, venue, permits, insurance, staffing, travel, freight, storage, technology, inventory and fulfillment. Confirm taxes, cancellation terms and contingency assumptions. No universal cost-per-lead or return is promised.

Choose the approval gates

Agree who approves the brief, location, creative, product claims, legal mechanic and final production plan. Work backward from the launch date, with an alternate format if permissions or production cannot be secured in time.

Define a qualified lead before launch

For a business campaign, a useful definition might include a relevant company, a stated project need, timing and permission to follow up. Agree the criteria with your sales team rather than treating every email address as a qualified lead.
